I just posted a new track called Pushin’ Pushit! Here’s the link to my FB page where you can press play:
and I’d be grateful if you did. I made this in my bedroom with a macbook, 4-track, autoharp, bass, real and fake drums and more fun secret stuff. I’m trying to make new types of pop music with altered autoharps, big bass, Ableton and a dose of feigned bravado. I hope you like it. It’s got:
-The same drum machine The Cars used
I’ll upload more songs very shortly, so follow this jazz on FB + Twitter @ElijahWyman alright!?
I love you. Be careful in the storm. Enjoy yr weekend.

I can’t wait for the new Jooka Album…
I can’t believe they broke up…
Remember the Elijah Wyman Video Game? My buddy Tom who made that also made this video. I’ve probably posted it before, but it’s worth repeating. Maybe my favorite song.

TINY in NYC & BKLYN
If you missed this show at Arlene’s Grocery don’t fret. We’ll be at Southpaw in Brooklyn on May 16th. Mark yr calendars. I love NYC so much. Have you ever been to Sullivan Street Bakery? Last summer Ra and I were in Manhatten for New York Gift for our brand Figs & Ginger, and I had practice in MA that night. I bought four Stecca’s (incredible breadsticks w/ tomatoes, garlic etc in them) to share w/ bandmates…I ate them all before I got to Connecticut. Oh my belly.
Here’s a stripped down version of a song called I’m Happy All the Time. You may remember it with vocoder and synthesizers. I’ll post more videos of NYC tripping + our migration down south after we’ve arrived in AVL.

Heading Back to Asheville for a Bit:
Ra and I are packing up our car and heading back to Asheville for a few months. We’ll be back in New England for the Summer. The longer we’re married the more nomadic we’re getting. It’s gotten to the point where we’re so restless that we can’t sit still for more than a few months. I like it. I’m excited to go back to Asheville for the Spring. The flowers in Western North Carolina are incredible. I even miss our crummy house there that we gutted and are nearly finished re-doing. I complained about it so much while we were there too!
Here are a few of my favorite things in Asheville:
This is my favorite record store in the world. They just expanded too! The owners Mark and Matt are as friendly and unpretentious as they come. I have a load and a half of respect for them.
We used to have a studio in the River Arts District right down the street from Jodi’s cupcakery and Strawberry Short Street is pink heaven. Also the Ashevelvet (red velvet no gross dyes) is near perfect.
Oh man Biscuits and Herb Gravy. This is my favorite comfort food in the city, one of the first places we ate when we moved to AVL and has a ridiculously good red velvet cake sometimes. (plenty of gross red dye…so good.)

Small Towns’ Favorable Review on InYourSpeaker.com:
“Wyman combines clever lyrics that paint an aural portrait of his feelings and surroundings…infused with folk, as well as hip-hop and reggae.”
Check out the whole thing here.

I played at The Red Door in Portsmouth, NH on Monday. What an awesome place to drink cocktails and hear music. Check a video of a new song I played there. I made the samples that make up the beats with acoustic instruments + X. I’m altering the loops with my feet during this song.

Check out these unreleased songs we played at a couple of nights ago in Boston. I’ve been working non-stop on writing, arranging and re-arranging new songs for future shows and albums. Also, I can’t stop listening to Jay Z and drinking yogurt drinks. <–True life right there. Yup, that’s Chris of The Points North singing and playing bass with me. In other news, Rhonda will soon be playing in tiny at shows!
New autoharp, new technique, new beats, new people, new recordings? SOON.
